Things to include in a file submitted to gain VAE consideration

You must submit a file before April 30 (for the non-european students) and befor August 31 (for the european students), prior to the beginning of the academic year that includes the following items:

  • a printed version of the online form, filled out and signed
  • a copy of your identity card
  • a copy of your (C.E.S.S. diploma attesting completion of secondary studies)
  • a copy of grade reports from each of your years of higher education, even for failed years (if necessary)
  • a copy of your higher education diploma(s)
  • official documentation of your activities and studies over the last 5 years, if this period is not covered by the studies leading to your most recent diploma
  • a letter stating your reasons for wanting to study at the University of Liège
  • any relevant document attesting the professional or personal experiences for which you are seeking credit
    (attestations from work, publications, proof of employment, accomplishments etc.)

The file you submit will be transmitted to an appropriate jury, which will make a decision on your request as quickly as possible.

The jury reserves the right to ask you to submit to a personal interview, and otherwise to implement any procedure for evaluating your file that it considers useful.

VAE also allows students to be admitted to programmes that do not lead to academic degrees (but rather to certificates, attestations, etc.).
