ESH-ULg: How to apply?

Do you want to apply for ULg Students Living with Disabilities status?

Step-by-step:

etudiant travaillant ash
  • Collate all the documents requested: your file will only be examined by the 'ESH-ULg' Committee if it is complete.
  • Submit your file to the Supporting Students Living with Disabilities service (AEE), University of Liège, 7 Place du 20 Août, 4000 Liège. However, in order to take account of difficulties which may arise during the academic year, it is possible to submit applications beyond this date.
  • The ASH service will then get in touch with you to discuss your initial request and to ensure that the file is complete in order to be submitted to the Committee. The ASH service is responsible for the implementation, monitoring and updating of procedures relating to ESH-ULg students.
  • The ESH-ULg Committee will take its decision at the latest within a month of submission of the application; you will be informed by post. If the response is positive, you will be considered as an 'ESH-ULg Student' and can benefit from the related advantages;
  • The role of the ASH service is to help you with administrative formalities, to help you and support you in your project. Together, you will sign the charter which makes the joint commitment to your study programme official: the rights and obligations of each party are contained in it;
  • The ASH service will send you details of your academic tutor who is ASH's first point of contact within the section/Department in which you are enrolled. The ASH service will do everything it can to set up arrangements you request, depending on your course (e.g. possibly staggering studies over more than one year, arranging timetables, organising exam arrangements, etc.). The ASH service will also inform the jury of your particular status and will put into place any arrangements required.
  • At the end of the academic year, you will be asked to complete a short document about your experiences with this status, and to give recommendations for how to improve it.
