After a 1st year common to all, the 2 Masters in Chemical and Materials Engineering are distinguished by their Focus.
In the two educations programmes, great importance is accorded to the end of study work project as it offers students the opportunity of being faced with the realities of Research and Development, a key area in the chemical and materials industry.
The 30 credits specific to this Research Focus allow you to choose between 2 options composed of specialisation module devoted to state of the art sectors :
- Chemical engineering (Sustainable development : energy and environment, Biotechnology,
Procedures, Chemistry (synthetic products) and formulas, Materials science) ;
- Materials (Materials science, Metallic substances, Manufacturing and recycling of materials, Organising the materials,
Characterisation of materials).
These two options also give you the opportunity to do an internship in the industrial sector for 20 or 40 days, depending on your choice.
Whether the Masters taken is with Research Focus or with Professional Focus, the professional openings offered to the engineer in chemical and materials sciences are varied and numerous.
- chemical industry (notably the mineral, petrochemical and polymer materials industries) - - refinery treatment processes
- energy transformation (combustion, gasification, fuel processing)
- cement industry
- glass industry
- lime industry
- metallurgical industry
- steel industry
- automobile industry
- site clean up techniques (water purification and treatment of water to make it drinkable, treating gaseous effluents)
- agrobusiness
- pharmacy (chemical engineering section)...
