| Artist Students can benefit from various advantages: |
ULg Artist Students are supervised by a member of the academic staff within their Faculty. This individual supervisor, called an 'academic tutor' is available to help and facilitate within the Faculty, any relevant steps (in particular in relation to possibly staggering a course year, organising exam modalities, etc.) enabling ULg Sports Students to achieve their objectives.
The coordinator acts as a link between the ULg Artist Student and the University, providing administrative and logistical support throughout the year.
ULg Artist Students can stagger their academic year over two years; the program is set by the student and his or her academic tutor, in agreement with the jury or the relevant Study Council. If necessary, the staggered plan may be reviewed up to the examination session (e.g. staggered plan could be cancelled if the student realises that he or she can sit all his or her exams; presentation of a few additional exams if this is possible, etc.).
Under no circumstances, however, may the year's programme amount to less than 15 credits (minimum of 30 credits in order to hold regular ULg student status).
Through the academic tutor, and depending on the organisational possibilities, ULg Artist Students may benefit from:
- arrangement of teaching activities (e.g. laboratory, seminars, date for submitting work);
- arrangement of timetable/calendar and modalities for sitting assessments and exams.
These specific modalities remain subject to an assessment by the relevant professors. Applications must be made by students within a reasonable timescale to the professor, or by the academic tutor (upon the student's request).
As far as possible, ULg Artist Students who wish to, may benefit from priority access and supervision from the 'Guidance' department (help with working methods, time-management, etc.).
ULg Artist Students benefit from priority access to relevant CHU services, insofar as this is possible. Modalities are set out in agreements between the university services and the CHU.
Note: these advantages are not automatic, they are granted upon student request.
