HR Strategy at the University of Liege

Excellence develops only in environments where researchers can develop their career. In 2006 ULg signed its declaration of endorsement of the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitement of Researchers  and by this engaged in an important process for its excellence in research. Through the implementation of the Commission Recommendation, ULg would like to make itself more attractive for researchers : for those who are already working in Liege as well as for those who might consider coming.

By publishing its ULg - Human Resources Strategy for Researchers incorporating the European Charter for researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers on this Euraxess page, the University of Liege takes another step further in the process. The document summarises the main results of the internal gap analysis  and presents the actions the University intends to carry out to implement the principles. Using the European Tool (HR Strategy for researchers), it clearly agrees to carry out internal (every 2 years) and external evaluations (after 4 years). A working group that includes the different stakeholders [the major players in this process] has been formally created for the follow-up of this initiative.

The European Commission acknowledge this quality approach by delivering its label of "HR Excellence in research".
