The last stage

The last but not least step of the doctoral programme consists in writing a thesis setting out the research performed and its results. The document must be of high scientific quality. It is presented to a jury which grants the young researcher, on the text and the viva voce, with the title – and the graduation – of Doctor.

 The definition of the terms for writing the thesis, its admissibility and the private viva voce, where appropriate, are fixed by the doctoral colleges. The director is well-informed of them and is, as for the research work, the main resource contact for the doctoral student.
