The University of Liège takes part to the programme « Science without Borders », giving the opportunity to the professors of the Institution to welcome Brazilian grant holders in their Faculty.
This 3 years programme will give a mobility opportunity to 75.000 high level Brazilian grant holders till 2014. It is managed by the CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior) and the CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico).
This programme allows Brazilian students to go abroad during their basis degree course (level « Graduaçao »), as well as doctoral students and post-doctoral fellows to do research abroad. The programme focuses on specific fields.

The young researchers and professors from the University of Liège can also apply to the programme to stay in Brazil with a Science without Borders grant.
The calls for these mobilities will be published in the scientific reviews and on the CNPq website: http://www.cnpq.br/index.htm
The applicants can hold several grants during the complete education duration: a student, who received a grant for a stay during his “graduação” could receive another grant to come back for a doctoral stay.
This programme is a great opportunity for the University of Liège to create, develop and strengthen the partnerships with Brazilian institutions.
