Call for 2012

The new call for applications to the Erasmus Mundus Programme is now available.

New

Once more, the University of Liege is involved in several new Erasmus mundus programmes.

After a tough competition, where only 15% of the applying consortia are selected, it results that the ULg is involved in 4 of them :

  • One partnership :  ACP (lot Africa, Caribbean and Pacific)
  • Two Master programmes, one in the field of sciences, the other in engineering (FAME and SUSCOS)
  • One joint Doctorate in the field of nanomedicines (NANOFAR)

These Erasmus Mundus programmes funded by the European Commission, contribute to the international reputation of the ULg, give the opportunity to recruit the best student all over the world and consolidates the quality of its international programmes.

Erasmus Mundus Masters and doctorates at the ULg

  • FAME: Functionalised Advanced Materials and Engineering
  • EMSHIP: EMMC European Education in Advanced Ship Design
  • THRUST : TurbomacHinery, aeRomechanic University Training
  • IMQP : Master international en Quaternaire et Préhistoire
  • SUSCOS: Sustainable Constructions under natural hazards and catastrophic events

 

The ULg takes part in the following Erasmus Mundus Doctorate Programmes:

  • IDS-Fun Mat : EMJD International Doctoral School in Functional Materials for Energy, Information Technology and Health
  • NanoFar: PhD in Nanomedicine and Pharmaceutical Innovation

Erasmus Mundus Action 2 (partnerships)

The ULg takes part to several partnerships

  • Averroes : lot Maghreb
  • Mundus ACP : lot Africa-Carabean-Pacific
  • ISAC (now closed): lot Brazil

General information about the Erasmus Mundus Programme

Erasmus Mundus is a cooperation and mobility programme in the field of higher education. It aims at enhancing the quality in European higher education, promoting the intercultural understanding through cooperation with third countries as well as the sustainable development of their higher education systems and at improving visibility and attractiveness of European higher education in the world.

The Erasmus Mundus programme comprises 3 actions :

  • Implementation of joint programmes at Master and Doctorate levels and award of individual scholarships (action 1)
  • Erasmus Mundus Partnerships (action 2)
  • Promotion of European Higher Education (action 3)
