One result is the creation of a new specialized Master's in Entrepreneurship. Ultrasonography is an essential methodology for rheumatologists. It allows them to objectivize and quantify a number of intra- and peri-articular processes and to be more accurate when analyzing the diagnosis of a rheumatological disorder and its evolution. Using ultrasonography as a "stethoscope" for the joint requires specific training closely linked with the clinical approach.
This 20-credit program is open to rheumatologists or doctors in their final year of specialization in rheumatology who are entitled to practice in Belgium. Physicians with other specializations must recieve the accord of the director of the program.
Those wishing to register are invited to contact the person in charge of the program, who will outline the application procedure (one of the prerequisites for applying is having access to a sonograph capable of good quality joint examinations).
