In 1988, several European universities came together to form the Santander Group. The University of Liège very quickly joined this group which today brings together 33 universities representing 15 European countries.
The Santander Group is an association which wishes to establish links at academic, cultural and socio-economic levels and to encourage information sharing and exchanges. It structures its thinking through working groups dedicated to specific topics.
