Exams at the ULg: numerous support measures to encourage success

Exams-page

Revision and exam periods are a part of university life. An obligatory step, they are often difficult moments which require good preparation as well as a certain dose of fortitude, endurance and motivation.

The ULg is doing everything it can to help students get through these periods in the best possible way. Whatever the potential difficulty experienced, every student will always find either somebody to help them or a measure adapted to the situation.

Whilst encouraging students to take responsibility remains a privileged approach for the University, the support structures for achieving success are a priority for the Institution and are constantly being developed.

  • Are you a ULg student? Do not limit yourself when consulting and benefiting from this help!
  • Are you the parent of a student? See what we have to offer…
  • Are you a future student? This will allow you to know, as of today, how you will be supported tomorrow at the University.

Personalised support structures

  • ULg Dialogue: a cost free and confidential telephone line open 7 days out of 7 during the revision and exam sessions, to help you get through a difficult moment or obtain urgent information.
  • Grade deferment Office Hours: an individual assessment of your results with a view to which grades of 10-11 to keep and which exams to take during the following session.
  • Individual discussions: by appointment, to assess your working method, receive advice which is personalised and made concrete through illustrations from the courses or through exercises.
  • Online coaching: distance support with specifically targeted advice, support and encouragement.
  • Psychological support: somebody to talk to, in complete discretion, in the case of personal problems.

Online resources

  • kitbloque.com: online advice for optimal management of exam periods andHealth Cards: eating well, getting fresh air and taking some exercise are important during the revision and exam sessions!
  • ‘You have everything in hand to make sure it goes well’ site: the major themes directly related to success (memorisation, medicaments, tobacco, etc.) are tackled in the form of a quiz so that you maintain a certain quality of life.
  • Online method: distance training offered free of charge to University of Liège students through the eCampus platform to improve their working methods.
  • Course podcasts: downloading courses in a few minutes; a teaching aid tool for students and remedial work. Ideal for revising a notion which has been not been properly absorbed.
