Ferme expérimentale

La Ferme expérimentale de la Faculté de Médecine vétérinaire et l'Observatoire du Monde des Plantes sont situés dans le coude du Boulevard de Colonster, au sommet du versant nord de la vallée de l'Ourthe, à un endroit où on dispose de grandes prairies et de surfaces horizontales nécessaires aux grands animaux.
Sur l'autre versant, on voit nettement l'autoroute des Ardennes.

The experimental Farm

The experimental Farm of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Observatory of the Plants’ World (Observatoire du Monde des Plantes, OMP) are situated in the elbow in the Boulevard de Colonster at the top of the north side of the Ourthe Valley at a place where we have large meadows and horizontal surfaces that are necessary to big animals.
On the other side we clearly see the motorway to the Ardennes.

Derrière le parking de l'OMP se trouve la vieille ferme de Colonster, qui abrite notamment les services de Forêts et Voiries de l'Université.

Behind the parking of the OMP lies the old farm of Colonster which houses the University’s Forest and Road services notably.

Le long de la ferme expérimentale, parallèle au boulevard, un chemin bordé d'arbres mène aux bâtiments de la Faculté de Médecine vétérinaire. Le CHU apparaît dans le lointain.

Along the experimental Farm and parallel to the boulevard a tree-lined path leads to the buildings of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. One can also see a part of Tilff’s district in the valley. The CHU appears in the distance.

Cette photo a été prise depuis la zone nord du Sart Tilman. Elle montre bien le plateau entre la vallée de l'Ourthe au fond le l'image, et la vallée du Blanc Gravier qui sépare le domaine universitaire en zone nord et zone sud. La ferme expérimentale est reconnaissable à l'arrière des larges pâtures. A l'avant-plan de la photo, les bâtiments de Psychologie, Droit, Restaurants et grands amphis (de g à d).

This picture was taken from the north area of the Sart Tilman. It shows well the plateau between the Ourthe valley at the back of the picture and the valley of the Blanc Gravier that divides the university estate into north and south area. The experimental Farm is recognizable at the back of the large pastures. In the foreground of the picture the buildings of Psychology, Law, the Restaurants and big Lecture Halls (from g to d).
