Les Amphithéâtres de l'Europe sont situés au rond point de l'entrée nord ouest du campus universitaire, en face du Parking P11. Derrière le bâtiment, de l'autre côté de l'allée du 6-Août, s'élèvent les bâtiments de Chimie et Radiochimie. Puis, plus à droite, sur la deuxième photo, les bâtiments de Physique et Astrophysique (à l'arrondi reconnaissable). On peut y voir aussi à l'avant-plan les toits du Cyclotron, juste à droite des Amphis de l'Europe.

Sur les première et quatrième photos notamment, on peut distinguer, sur le versant opposé, les toits des centres sportifs, reliés à la zone Physique-Chimie par des chemins piétons (+/- 600m) et pistes cyclables à travers bois, fort appréciés des étudiants.

L'architecte Daniel Dethier a souhaité pour ce bâtiment (1996) des formes pures et des toitures courbes, comme les ailes d'un oiseau ou comme un livre ouvert. A l'avant, on devine l'oeuvre de Nic Joosen, La feuille, l'aile, la paupière, du Musée en plein air.

Europe Lecture Halls

The Europe Lecture Halls are situated at the roundabout of the north-west entrance of the university campus in front of the Parking P11. Behind this building on the other side of l’allée du 6-Août the Chemistry and Radiochemistry buildings rise. Then, more on the right on the second picture you have the Physics and Astrophysics buildings (with their recognizable roundness). We see in the foreground just on the right of the Europe Lecture Halls the roofs of the Cyclotron as well.
On the first and fourth pictures notably we can distinguish on the opposite side of the hills the roofs of the sports centres joined by pedestrian precincts (+/- 600m) and by cycle paths across the woods that students enjoy very much to the Physics-Chemistry area.
The architect Daniel Dethier wanted this building (1996) to have pure shapes and bent roofs like the bird’s wings or like an open book. In the foreground we make out the work of Nic Joosen, La feuille, l’aile, la paupière of the open air museum.
