On Tuesday February 7, 2012, the ULg is holding the third edition of its Secondary Education Day, with a format never seen before in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, and which will allow future students to discover in concrete terms the educational programmes, research and the professions.
In 2011, over 1,500 pupils from 42 schools from every Wallonia-Brussels Federation discovered the ULg by taking part in this day. Success is once again guaranteed for the 2012 edition (some places remain available).
Very different from the classic Open Days, the Secondary Education Day allows pupils in their final year to approach university studies in an original way: through concrete cases they will be immersed into the different study paths. Each pupil will have the opportunity to participate in two workshops, and they will of course receive information about the studies, orientation guidance, student life, support for success, accommodation in Liège, etc.
The professors and researchers from the ULg’s 11 Faculties are setting up 57 themed and participatory workshops over the course of the day, a particularly weighty menu, taking in for example the place of medicine today, the development of autonomous mobile robots and going behind the scenes of ‘The Experts’ and other medical television series, etc.
