Managing respiratory tracts in children

31/01/2012

A new university certificate in managing respiratory tracts in children

The long term consequences of tracheal intubation for children are under estimated and contribute significantly to long term morbidity.

The training programme offered aims to prepare every doctor likely to carry out a tracheal intubation in new-borns or children, and to do so in an effective and non-traumatic manner.

PageThe course combines the presentation of theoretical data with practical exercises on a model and under the control of an endoscopy.

This certificate of 10 credits is aimed at attracting, through an application process, specialist doctors or doctors on the way to specialising in paediatrics, neonatology, anaesthesia, intensive and emergency care.
