Erasmus Belgica

The Erasmus Belgica programme was set up in 2004 and is an initiative of the Fondation Prince Philippe aimed at encouraging higher education student mobility within the three Communities in Belgium.

It allows ULg students to take part of their course (three months to a year) at a recognized institution in another Belgian Community, to experience linguistic and cultural immersion there and to adapt to a different environment, another living environment and a different mentality.

Conditions

Erasmus-Belgica is open to students who have successfully completed at least one year of study. Applicants must fill in a study contract stamped by an academic manager. The courses taken in the host institution are recognized and validated, provided that the student passes the exams.

Grants

The grant is for one-off amount of €100, regardless of the distance between the two institutions. However, an additional monthly allowance of €100 is allocated to students who can prove that they have specific accommodation costs for the period of their stay in the other Community.
