Written work by a Masters student:

The footnotes related to citations correctly detail the origin of the extracts, the bibliographical references are complete,
BUT
there are citations without quotation marks.

Sanction: the student is reprimanded and has the possibility of representing the work, now corrected, during the next exam session.

Dissertation by a 2nd year Masters student:

There are certain citations without quotation marks.
There are no footnotes providing information about the citations without quotation marks.
The bibliographical references do not include the texts from which the citations without quotation marks have been taken.

Sanction: the right to enter university rooms is suspended for six months, and as a consequence it is impossible to take the second exam session.

End of study project for an Advanced Masters:

The student has twice presented work containing extensively recopied extracts, without providing their references, either in the text or in the bibliography.

Sanction: the student is excluded from the ULg by the Board of Directors.
