Mobility with graduation, joint doctoral thesis

(c) ULgThe University of Liège has concluded strategic agreements on the organisation of courses with foreign universities. These joint programmes are planned to build mobility into the curriculum, and will give rise to a diploma.

Certain departments of the ULg offer double degree possibilities.  These are limited to precise courses and are the result of a negotiated and shared study structure between two institutions. It is in particular offered to engineers by the TIME network.

Other double degrees are offered in the masters and complementary masters courses.

In particular, the ULg is a partner of several
Erasmus Mundus programmes. Erasmus mudus master and doctorate programmes provide students with a mutual recognition of the course specified by all of the partners.

The joint doctoral thesis follows the same approach of mutual recognition of achievements and skills by partner institutions. The cross-border doctoral schools in the Grande Région provide a framework to encourage the joint supervision of doctoral students within this region.

Awarding of an academic degree is conditional upon the student being enrolled at the University of Liège. Students from outside the ULg are recommended to follow the relevant admissions procedures.
