Placed under the responsibility of the Executive Director of the AEE (the Educational and Student Administration) by the University of Liège Board of Governors in April 2004, the Coordination Unit of Continuing Education for Teachers of the University of Liège (French acronym: ULg Force) has as its mission to :
support existing initiatives and foster the development of new activities in the field of continuing education for primary and secondary teachers
provide logistic support to members of our University community who are developing courses in continuing education
centralize information and bring the courses offered to public notice
coordinate responses to requests for proposals from the IFC (Institut de la Formation en cours de Carrière [Professional Development Institute])

Courses in continuing education usually lead to the creation of educational files which may be consulted online or obtained from our secretarial office.

The "Centre de Didactique Supérieur" (Higher Education Center), under the aegis of the Wallonia-Europe University Academy, was set up within the framework of the creation of the "Institut de Formation et de Recherche en Enseignement Supérieur" (Teacher Training and Research Institute for Higher Education) by the University of Liège Board of Directors in January 2005. In accordance with Article 83 of the "Bologna decree ", the center's mission is to advise, support and train teachers in charge of first generation students.
