Mobility of lecturers in relation to Erasmus

©ULg – Michel Houet

The ULg offers its lecturers and assistants the opportunity of performing lecturing assignments or visits in its partner universities abroad. It intends, in this way, to encourage exchanges between the institutions and incite a mutual recognition of the courses and education.

The Erasmus programme enables to cover the main costs linked to the lecturers’ stay. The following conditions must be met by the lecturer:
  • Minimum 5 hours of lectures being a full part of the course.
  • Maximum 6 weeks.
  • Bilateral agreement between the original and receiving establishment.
  • The lectures must be fully included in the programmes.

For people whose mobility is a part of the institutional strategy and who may not benefit from the possibilities already made available by the European Commission, the ULg is able to offer internal financing thanks to the “Mobility Fund” that it has created.

Mobility of lecturers and researchers – specific funds

©ULg – Michel HouetSpecific measures have been implemented by the university to enable the exchange of researchers and lecturers and to establish an international scientific partnership. Grants are offered to foreign post-graduates to complete their course in Liege and subsidies are granted to researchers to spend several months abroad.

Sabbatical teaching and research sessions are encouraged. The internal and external means made available to the researchers are capitalised in order to meet these aims.

A center of mobility EURAXESS, supported by the European Union provides all the information for foreign researchers who wish to come to the ULg.
