Public relations

This Department oversees and facilitates relations between the Institution and external actors. It provides the back up support for contacts made with other institutions, be they academic, cultural, private or public.

• It organises the reception of well-known Belgian and foreign personalities and external delegations hosted by University Authorities.
• It ensures the practical and logistical organisation of institutional events and ceremonies (notably the opening of the academic year ceremony, ceremonies to award institutional doctor honoris causa degrees, the inauguration of buildings and laboratories, etc.).
• It aids academic departments who request help in organising academic conferences and meetings and public events. The department can provide occasional or specific assistance or offer support throughout the development of the project.
• This sector is in charge of seeking patronage and sponsorship and canvassing for funds from external sources (private or public companies, institutions and organisations) for the benefit of research and teaching at ULg. It also oversees relations with university alumni.
• The department is involved in putting into action external events and processes involving the ULg. In this context it co-ordinates the visibility of projects initiated by external partners and in which the ULg is a stakeholder.
