Institute for Human and Social Sciences

Faculté EGSS

Understanding, analysing, making diagnoses, managing human resources, developing research programs and intervention and development projects, supporting changes within increasingly complex societies, these are just some examples of what students can choose to study at the Institute for Human and Social Sciences, Ulg's youngest faculty.

Students are encouraged to exercise critical thinking and are made aware of the important issues confronting societies in both the North and South.  The Institute's determination to open itself up to our constantly changing society is manifest in the various programs aimed at providing students with the hands-on experience they need to impact the future.  Each of the bachelor's and master's programs on offer include both theoretical and practical components.  Students also have the opportunity to study at other universities and do work placements both in Belgium and abroad thanks to the Institute's numerous contacts at national and international levels.
