Faculty of Law and Political Science - The Jean Constant Criminology School of Liege

Faculté Droit

The Faculty of Law is a pluridisciplinary faculty which inlcudes the Department of Law and the Department of Political Science. The Jean Constant School of Criminology is also attached to the Faculty.

The Faculty offers flexible programs which open up numerous job opportunities. It aims to provide students with knowledge and skills they will need throughout their entire professional careers.  The Faculty prides itself on the practicality of its teaching.

Thanks to the collaborations it has developed with external partners both at the national and international levels, the Faculty is able to offer placements and stays abroad which reinforce the quality of its teaching and help expand its reputation. Students are encouraged to develop their language skills and to engage in personal research throughout their university careers.

As early as the second year of Bachelor's programs, students are encouraged to express their preferences by choosing among the many options available. These options are even wider for Master's students.  Ph.D and Advanced Master's programmes permit more in-depth training. Belgian and foreign students can thus specialise in fast-expanding sectors: European law (intellectual property and competition law), tax law, the profession of public notary, and the interdisciplinary analysis of development in Europe.
