The Faculty of Philosophy and Letters covers a great many fields of knowledge and offers a multiplicity of viewpoints on the world, past and present. The approach taken is primarily historical and philosophical for - as stated by the Dean of the Faculty - a critical knowledge of the past leads to a better understanding of today's world. Located in the centre of Liège in one of the oldest university buildings, the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters welcomes more than 2500 students each year and offers courses in nine major disciplines including the ancient and modern languages and literatures, philosophy, history and art history as well as communication sciences. |
