Press and Communication

Press and Media relations

presse

The 'Press and Communication' department has been placed under the responsibility of a journalist. It manages the Institution's relationships with the press and the media in general. It is responsible for disseminating information about the Institution's publications, scientific and academic research discoveries and activities, as well as its projects and achievements, in producing press releases or in organising meetings with the press. It writes or adapts every type of document (whether they originate from the authorities, the faculties, research centres, administrative bodies, etc.) aimed at communicating internally or externally with the media.

It manages the partnerships with the media for the ULg's events or initiatives. It is also responsible for responding to specific, one-off requests by the media by searching for appropriate academic or scientific spokespersons within the Institution.

It is the intermediary between the university community as a whole and the media.

The service is also responsible for the production of official documents such as publicity brochures, activity reports, publishing speeches made at the opening of the academic year ceremony, and every other type of institutional document as needs be.

It is involved in updating the content of internet sites linked to the Department and the institutional website, in particular by writing news stories and every other type of presentation.

It sets up various communication activities and products (except for tie-in-products), and also publishes an electronic press review.

The University of Liège has available a large number of photographs (science and research illustrations, buildings, portraits of professors, researchers, etc.) which it in particular makes available for journalists.
