It deals with the daily maintenance of them (cleaning, repairs,...) and the large repairs required over time. The Real Estate Resources Administration is also in charge of carrying out the Board of Directors' decisions regarding investments in terms of new buildings and fitting premises. In this respect, it deals with the invitation to tender applications, and is the technical contact of the Creators of the projects and firms in charge of the studies and work. It contributes to the urban layout of the Sart Tilman estate. It is also in charge of managing the various real estate operations (purchases, sales, rentals,...), develops invitations to tender and energy supply agreements (gas, fuel,...) and ensures the water supply and the evacuation of waste water and rubbish in accordance with the standards in force. It takes part in the development of an energy policy, now essential, of the Institution and applies the decisions of the Board of Directors on this subject. Finally, the Real Estate Resources Administration is also in charge of applying the security measures regarding the buildings (fire, access control, surveillance of the sites,...). OrganisationThe Real Estate Resources Administration is divided into two parts: Technical services:directed by Mrs. COPPENS; they are sub-divided into two units: The maintenance unit deals with the repairs and maintenance and is made up of three departments:
All of the maintenance services are coordinated by Mrs. DUPONT. The University has however developed an on-hand service by recruiting a limited number of workers specialised in various areas (joiners, electricians, plumbers, gardeners,...). The building and layouts unit, directed by Mr ANTOINE, covers the people in charge of managing the Institution's projects (new buildings and transformations of existing premises), ensuring that buildings meet with standards in terms of security, and energy supplies. With the exception of certain projects of limited scope, the studies and follow-up of the work is entrusted to external architects and research departments. | |
