| In accordance with the decree of March 31, 2004, the University administers a series of admissions examinations that grant admission to all first-cycle programmes of study, except for those in civil engineering. This examination must test students' knowledge of the French language (written and spoken) and of mathematics. Moreover students choose which of these two subjects to be more thoroughly examined on. Then they choose four subjects from this group: history, geography, physics, chemistry, biology, and languages (Dutch, German, English or Latin). At least one of these subjects, selected by the Jury, will be tested by an oral examination. |
Examinations take place on the Sart-Tilman Campus in accordance with the exact calendar given below :
Registration is done only by mail, by filling out the application form, and sending it in, accompanied by a copy of your identity card, to the Admissions Service.
After a student's file has been reviewed, an acknowledgement is sent to the student by mail, giving the student details about payment and class schedules. The student should also receive information about going in person the registrar's office in possession of proof of identity, and a receipt for having paid the registration fee.
The fee is 132 EUR per session of courses. Non-payment of the fee leads to automatic expulsion from classes.
For more information, see our brochure on this subject.
Warning : Students that are not citizens of a Member State of the EU cannot take this examination unless they are in possession of written permission to register issued by the Admissions Service of the University of Liège.
