International Relations Department

The Department of International Relations is the executive unit set up by the university to implement its operational objectives. Directly responsible to the General Director for Education and Training, it optimizes interactions between the different administrations concerned by teaching and research whenever the international dimension is present. It works in synergy with those individuals in charge of international matters in the faculties and with the CRI. Among its specific missions are:

  • implementing ULg’s international strategy as defined by the CRI
  • managing partnership agreements with universities worldwide
  • contributing to the building of strong collaboration on international projects
  • helping faculties to fulfill their international ambitions
  • representing ULg at all international events and on international networks dedicated to interuniversity cooperation and mobility
  • contributing to the project of providing international experience to members of the university community, in particular by supervising exchange programmes involving both incoming and outgoing students and professors and by managing financial programs pertaining to exchange programmes
